Christmas Bells
I don’t mean to alarm anyone, but it’s only two and a bit months till Christmas. While it might seem far away now, I’m a huge believer in planning ahead and avoiding festive season overload.
If you’ve been thinking about a shoot, now is a great time to book. I’ve only got four weekend sessions left before December, and after that you won’t be able to receive your prints and canvases until January 2013, so please get in touch as soon as possible to schedule a time.
You can also book a session for a friend or loved one as a surprise gift, imagine their face when they open their presents to find a stunning wall canvas with a shot of their furry best friend! Warning – there may be lots of happy tears.
If you’ve had a shoot with me this year and would like to order some more prints, here are some great ideas:
- How about a set of gorgeous greeting cards with your pet’s image on it to send to loved ones?
- A beautiful silk canvas as a present to yourself
- Mounted 8×10 prints are a great gift, and come ready to frame

Stella and Boots, the best of friends
Stella and Boots have a life that so many dogs (and people!) dream about – acres of farmland to explore, lots of wombat poo to sniff, and most importantly amazing owners who absolutely adore them. They live out on a gorgeous property in rural Victoria, which was such a treat for me. It meant our session was completely off leash, and that the dogs could run around and be free the whole time.
Boots is a big strong Staffy who may look a bit fierce, but who is actually a giant softy, and Stella is a pretty little pug cross who runs the house and bosses her big brother around. They are best friends and I hope you love the photos as much as I loved taking them.
If you’re ready to book your own session, click here to email me. I have limited space available for Spring so get in quick!
Stella and Boots
My job spoils me sometimes, this weekend I had the honour of photographing these two stunning dogs on a stunning property in rural Victoria – it doesn’t get better than that! Big brother Boots kept a watchful eye on Stella at all times…while she ran rings around him.
Rock the Shot September Challenge
This shot is my submission for this month’s Rock the Shot Challenge {www.rocktheshotforum.com}. I think it might be my favourite shot I’ve ever taken. The blissed out expression on Justin’s face gives me warm fuzzies every time I look at it. For me it’s a reminder to enjoy those small moments.
Shot using my 35mm f1.8 lens at 1.8, with natural light diffused by a net curtain. For processing I used a combination of my own editing plus a toned down version of The Coffee Shop Blog’s Buttercream black and white action.
Rock the Shot Forum is a fantastic resource for all levels of photographers, with some amazing interviews, giveaways and articles. Click the picture below to check them out
