I was in squishy face heaven at the recent French Bulldog Club Day Out here in Melbourne! I had a little pop up photo booth and got to photograph some seriously adorable pups – check out a few shots from the day below – sometimes I have to pinch myself that this is my job!

We are so spoilt for choice in Melbourne when it comes to pet photography locations – and one of the best for city dwellers is the Botanic Gardens – it’s particularly beautiful in autumn and spring. Best of all, it’s dog friendly (on leash) and the lighting is just gorgeous. As you can see Bella the schnauzer really rocked her shoot! Odie, Chester and Scruffy are three gorgeous senior gentleman who are three of the most loved dogs you’ve ever met. I really think it speaks highly of a person’s character as to how they treat their older pets. Wendy treats her dogs like they are her children (in fact Scruffy was the “replacement child” when their daughter left home!), and they reward her with love, affections, and a devotion that shines through the eyes of these wise old souls.

And a little note on the below photos – the property where we had our shoot was full of these fantastically quirky garden statues – the cat was quite determined to blend in with the rest of them!

Justin B and I have been flat out – amongst client orders, shooting, and general day to day admin, we are also moving house! I will be very sad to be leaving Stewie (you can see his story here and here), but I think Justin will be very happy to have his mum all to himself. And I know that Prince Stewart will be in the best of hands – as you can see from the below photo, only the finest furniture will do for him. He really is the most spoilt cat, and that’s exactly how it should be!
