Frank, Lillian and Scrumpy

One of the best parts of my job is getting to meet such a wide range of pets – grumpy ones, cheeky ones, naughty ones. This shoot was no exception. Firstly, there was Frank, the pug cross with the best dog smile I’ve ever seen, who was an expert at turning on the charm. Then there was Lillian, an absolute princess who made sure I knew who was boss (hint – it’s not me). Being a pug, she immediately became my best friend when the treats materialised! She also had a wonderful range of expressions. Last but certainly not least is Scrumpy, a gentle old boy who still does his best to keep up with the others. I had a great time capturing their characters, so without further ado, enjoy the photos!

As always, thanks for reading! April is going to be a bumper month, so stay tuned for updates, and keep up with the latest news by joining me on Facebook

Pug Portraits

It’s no secret that I adore pugs. Their cheeky little faces, their curly tails, not to mention their beautiful natures and make-you-melt eyes. So on Saturday I was right in my element, helping out at the Saffron on the Hill open day. Saffron on the Hill are a local pug rescue organisation dedicated to rehabilitating and re-homing pugs (and a few honorary pugs). If you’re in need of a collar for your furry friends, 100% of all profits from the sale of their collars and leads go to helping rescue dogs.

I will post about the day itself a bit later on, but first I thought I’d share some of the Pet Portraits I took – I had a blast doing these mini sessions, and made a few new friends along the way. It was amazing to meet so many lovely dogs, and each one had such wonderfully unique personalities as well!

*Please note that these photos are not to be downloaded, copied or used in any way without permission in writing from myself, the owner and Saffron on the Hill.

Percy the Chihuahua

Percy may be small, but he’s got personality to burn. His owner adopted him from the Lost Dogs Home about two years ago, and I have a feeling he’s run the household ever since. He was fantastic to photograph, with a variety of poses that would put most super models to shame. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
