Snap N Paws – Adorable Pet Photography in a Snap

I’m so excited to announce the launch of my ebook, “Snap N Paws – Adorable Pet Photography in a Snap”.  When I was approached to write this back in June, I was a little overwhelmed – after all, I’m a photographer, not a writer! It has been really challenging to take all my knowledge and condense it down to the basics, but I’m extremely proud of the result, and I hope you gain some great tips from it! You can purchase it for the introductory price of $7 by clicking here.

The book is aimed at all animal lovers and photography enthusiasts who want to be able to take emotive, fun, and natural photos of their pets. Featuring some of my favourite shoots over the last two years (including the stunning Cinder as my cover model), I cover everything from equipment needed to get started, to working in difficult lighting, as well as a wide range of hints on working with your pet’s quirks and personality to produce great photos.

I’d love to hear what you think, so if you have any questions after you purchase the guide, please shoot me an email or join me over on Facebook!

Nature’s Gift Packaging – Commercial Melbourne Pet Photography

Last year I had the pleasure of collaborating with Nature’s Gift Australia for their redesign of their dog food range. My models were Rose and Rocco, two super happy, super excited Jack Russell Terriers who had fantastic modelling skills, as well as never ending energy. It was a challenging shoot – we had a wide range of shots that we wanted to achieve in a small amount of time, and as always Melbourne’s weather was unpredictable. However with some great team work, a few treats, and a ton of praise, we got the shots we wanted and I’m thrilled with the results. The range will be hitting supermarket shelves very shortly – my range of canine testers seem particularly keen on the Kangaroo mini treats!

To read more about Nature’s Gift, you can head on over to their brand new website, or follow them on Facebook

An Update

This weekend I achieved several things – I caught up on my accounts, I did several loads of washing, and I injured my back. For someone like me who is extremely active, it’s been a harsh lesson.  I run or go to the gym most days,  plus I love playing with the cats, my two have a strange love of being chased down the hallway. Now I’m struggling to sit up for more than five minutes. I admit I’ve never been overly sympathetic to people who complain of sore backs, but oh boy do I get it now! So no gym, running, or photo shoots for me for a couple of weeks while I heal – luckily I have two awesome cats who will happily snuggle up with me on the couch and entertain me. I’m also going to try and limit my computer time, so you might see a few less updates from me.

I’ll be back in action soon, so if you’d like to schedule a shoot for Autumn get in touch today.  Autumn is my favourite season, and a huge relief from the searing dry heat of a Melbourne summer.  Not to mention the light is soft and golden, the weather is perfect, and the leaves turn the most beautiful shades of red and orange – stunning photo shoot conditions.  I’ll also be coming to Wellington, New Zealand a bit later on this year, so if you’d like to register your interest in a shoot send me an email.
