Three Wise Men (And a Confused Cat)

Odie, Chester and Scruffy are three gorgeous senior gentleman who are three of the most loved dogs you’ve ever met. I really think it speaks highly of a person’s character as to how they treat their older pets. Wendy treats her dogs like they are her children (in fact Scruffy was the “replacement child” when their daughter left home!), and they reward her with love, affections, and a devotion that shines through the eyes of these wise old souls.

And a little note on the below photos – the property where we had our shoot was full of these fantastically quirky garden statues – the cat was quite determined to blend in with the rest of them!

A Street Cat Named Bob & A House Cat Named Justin

Between moving house, work, snowboarding (badly), and trying to do my tax return without losing my sanity I have also managed to get a cold – serves me right for bragging how immune I am. The two things that are making me feel a lot better is this amazing book A Street Cat Named Bob, and cuddles from my number one dude JB. I’ve got some super cool shoots to share with you over the next month, so stay tuned!

A Bed Fit For A Prince

Justin B and I have been flat out – amongst client orders, shooting, and general day to day admin, we are also moving house! I will be very sad to be leaving Stewie (you can see his story here and here), but I think Justin will be very happy to have his mum all to himself. And I know that Prince Stewart will be in the best of hands – as you can see from the below photo, only the finest furniture will do for him. He really is the most spoilt cat, and that’s exactly how it should be!

Prince Stewart

I thought I’d share this little sequence of photos, showing Stewie as a five week old kitten (taken on the 3rd of May), all the way through to now – just to show what an amazing difference good food, medicine, and love can do. Stewie was an incredibly sick wee man, and if the vet hadn’t taken him home and lovingly nursed him back to health, and if he hadn’t have been fostered through PAT (Paws and Tails) he wouldn’t have made it. He still has minor scarring on his eyes from cat flu, but it hasn’t slowed him down in the slightest – in fact he is one of the most confident and adventurous kittens I’ve ever met. And now he has been adopted by a very good friend of mine and renamed “Prince Stewart”. I couldn’t be happier for him and I think it’s a wonderful example of what great work animal rescue can do. Please consider fostering – it makes a huge difference to the lives of animals like Stewie.
