A Wonderful Weekend

Most people look forward to the weekend because it’s time off work – but for me I look forward to working! I think that’s a sign that I most definitely love what I do, waking up at 7am on a Sunday doesn’t phase me in the slightest – I’m just too excited about the beautiful light that Melbourne has on these soft Autumn mornings. This weekend was an absolutely wonderful one, with two shoots that I have to say are fast becoming favourites of mine. As well as getting to meet some gorgeous pets and lovely people, I also had the chance to relax and let Jamie and Nigella out to play for a while. They are coming along in leaps and bounds and are so inquisitive now. They spend their time running, exploring, and wrestling each other, and occasionally being groomed by their uncle Bob.

On Saturday, I had the honour of photographing Nessie the Abyssinian, and she was an absolute stunner. She was also incredibly smoochy and sweet, and I spent half the time rubbing her tummy and giving her pats. She was also incredibly photogenic as you can see from the photo below!

Queen of everything

On Sunday it was up bright and early for a fun filled session with one of my favourite dogs ever, little Cinder the Shiba Inu and her BFF, Kirra the Kelpie. These two were just hysterical, we barely stopped laughing the whole time. Cinder has changed so much from when she was a pup, but she is still a massive sweetheart and very cheeky.

And the action doesn’t stop – today I’m off to Torquay to photograph two gorgeous Dalmatians and their beautiful owner – stay tuned for a preview! If you’re looking at getting a shoot done, pop on over to my contact page and get in touch, I’d love to hear from you!
